Indeed, they are "playing games with Allah" -- can't agree more with Shiekh Ghassan except that at one point Shiekh claimed that "there's no difference" between them and the conventional banks. I must say that if one goes with one of those Islamic shari'ah compliant banking institutes, one would end up paying even more interests than a conventional bank. His advice for how to go about buying a home in the halal way doesn't come until the end - most of the lecture is spent speaking on how many islamic finance contracts are indistinguishable from those of conventional finance except for the terminology.
