I agree with Hibahmac, cut up your credit cards NOW. Yes you can live without them and no you don’t need them for emergencies as you will always find a way to get by. I’ve been living credit card free for over 3years now and I know plenty of people who are doing the same.

Another source of riba I’d like to point out is the type you get charged when you pay your bills late for your cellphone/cable etc. These companies usually charge 2% when you’re payment is late. It might not be much but in principle it’s still riba. Set up an automatic payment system to avoid it.

Credit cards are financial crack – just say no! If you have them now, then start moving toward detox by cutting them up today. Stay with what’s real by using only the cash in hand; if you must do a card, then do debit cards. Need extra money? Monetize every gift or talent or opportunity you have to raise funds.

You can’t judge from some persons. Those Muslims who deal with interest are not religious. They are only Muslims on the paper. However, there are many Muslims who care a lot about every aspect of Islam. Those are the real ones. May Allah save them, and guide the others to the right way..

It’s a shame that we see this kind of problem from Muslim owned businesses. Astaghfirullah.

I had gotten into some credit card debt before I became Mulsim, and it’s so easy to get a credit card that it’s no wonder many people do this. Alhamdulillah, my husband and I don’t have any credit cards now. We buy used cars that we can afford to pay for in full (no interest) and we rent instead of buying (no interest). It’s the sunnah, and it makes life so much better.

i think when its said,one who is content is rich,its so true.why not have a burden fre life where you dont have to bother with debts and interest blah blah.So many muslims today dont even bother to care about haram or halal.its sad
